Job Description

ICG Commerce is looking for an Energy Project Manager to join our new Sustainability Practice located in King of Prussia, PA. In this role you will be supporting the pursuit and execution of grant and incentive programs associated with energy efficient capital investments in a wide variety of areas ranging from data centers to compressed air systems to production line process improvements. This position will include the quantification and validation of the energy savings from energy efficiency projects at Fortune 500 client sites.

Specifically, you will:

  • Analyze and model energy efficiency projects including data center consolidation/virtualization, chiller plant optimizations, compressed air management systems, and other large energy efficiency projects
  • Support the development, planning, and execution of measurement and verification (M&V) of energy efficiency projects.
  • Coordinate and interview staff, contractors, and client groups to collect and interpret data required to develop and implement Measurement and Verification plans
  • Execute project plans
    • Track project tasks/status
    • Compose and present comprehensive analysis reports
    • Work with energy efficiency program managers and others to constantly improve data collection, data verification, cost-effectiveness of programs, M&V systems & processes

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work collaboratively with the core team of a new ICG Commerce Practice to extend and improve existing processes and methodologies related to Grants and Incentives
  • Support the development and growth of energy associates in the U.S. and overseas offices
  • Gain experience developing energy savings estimates and creating project and plant level energy use models
  • Work at multiple project sites to coordinate the deployment of data logging equipment
  • Work with public utilities and technical representatives to manage energy incentive applications and develop Measurement and Verification Plans

Candidate Quality/Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience working with large complex data sets
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience demonstrating proficiency in three or more of the following areas:
    • Experienced in commercial and industrial energy engineering, utility cost analysis, facilities management, life cycle cost analysis, project development and conservation program implementation
    • Experience creating and validating engineering energy use models
    • Experience with state or utility energy efficiency grants and incentives programs
    • Test program planning, execution, and reporting
    • Statistical analysis and interpretation of measurement data
    • Ability to accurately analyze and quantify energy consumption and savings
    • Experience and proficiency in the use of field measurement and testing devices (Power Analyzers, Portable data loggers etc.)

Position Summary

Neuwing is currently seeking junior and senior Business Analysts to support our consulting service offerings. Business Analysts will be responsible for working with Neuwing team members, clients and partners to collect and analyze data, develop and audit energy models, research and document energy incentive programs, and create financial models and business cases to support client project implementations. Business Analysts will play a key role in shaping business strategy through the analysis of rapidly emerging energy markets and related financial services as well as the development of key business processes and standards for our top tier clients.

Business Analysts will also work alongside the engineering and research and development teams to help collect client information, industry performance data, and assist in the processing and interpretation of engineering data collected at client sites. This will include the configuration of enterprise software solutions enabling energy and carbon tracking across the entire customer organization.

Position will be based out of Neuwing's headquarters offices in Wilmington, DE, and 20-40% travel is expected.

Major Tasks:

  • Support multiple concurrent projects and participate on teams consisting of consultants, client resources, and delivery partners
  • Document and evaluate strategic direction, organization structures, business processes, and business requirements for our clients and codify them into reporting tools and targeted metrics to drive profitable investment and cost savings
  • Communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver accurate and detailed functional specification requirements such as interface and report designs for enterprise software tools
  • Prepare client presentations and develop detailed project analyses to be presented at the highest levels of the client organization
  • Support white paper and case study activities
